What’s In My Paint?

Reddy Paint is owned by families—families with children and pets. So when we talk about SAFE paints, it’s personal for us. Up until 1978, most paint, including interior paints and paints used on furniture and toys, contained high amounts of lead. Millions of people were affected, and unfortunately, the age group most highly impacted was children under six years old.

What you don’t know can hurt you, and though all the paints we use have been carefully vetted and are marked Low or Zero VOC, every big brand paint company keeps its ingredient list proprietary. Our SAFE line of paints is 100% transparent about the ingredients in the paint and is Zero VOC.

Understanding the ingredients in your paint is crucial for ensuring a safe and healthy environment, especially when it comes to protecting children, pets, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory sensitivities. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are potentially harmful chemicals that evaporate into the air as paint dries.
